About Me

Hello! My name is Carlee and welcome to my blog. Here is a little bit about me and this blog.

Currently, I am a 19-year-old college student from Arizona. I started The Theatre Corner in October 2016 during my senior year of high school. For me blogging about theatre is a way to constantly stay connected with theatre, even when I am not in a show or theatre class.

I got my theatre start when I was 7 years old during a summer camp. It was at my local performing arts center and I was a part of the lullaby league in an excerpt of The Wizard of Oz. And though that was fun, it didn't initially spark my passion.

Five years later, at the age of 12, my friend Natalie convinced me to audition for our junior high's production of Aladdin. This sparked something in me and I knew from then on, I wanted to be on stage. I continued with my Aladdin director at her community theatre for 5 more years until I decided that I needed to expand my acting skills and move on to other community theatres.

As of now, I have been in a total of 24 shows, 6 of which were one acts, 7 of which I teched and 18 I was an actress in. I am continuing my theatre education with a theatre minor that I am starting in the fall, and I also hope to possibly get into some college show in the years to come.

The ultimate goal for me is to become a Broadway actress one day, but I am taking everything one step at a time.

I hope to continue blogging for years to come and I am excited to see where the future takes me.
